HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNAH

Happy Birthday Hannah!!!

Hannah Lassette Ahlers was born on June 2, 1983, and left this Earth on October 1, 2017. She left behind her loving husband Brian, and 3 amazing children Briannah, Brice, and Hailey. Hannah’s vibrant smile and passion for family could be seen and felt by anyone who knew her and even by those who did not. In her short 34 years she lived, she truly lived. “Love your life, live it. Take pictures of everything. Tell people you love them. Talk to random strangers. Do things you’re scared to do. So many of us die without remembering all the little moments. Take your life and make it the best story ever!”…

Hannah was born in Bellflower Ca and grew up in El Monte and later moved to Redlands where she would later meet the love of her life Brian, at a youth group at Redlands Church of the Nazarene. A few years later Brian asked her out on their first date. Brian proposed to Hannah at a 4th of July celebration and they got married on January 27th, 2001. Brian was Hannah’s best friend and they built a life that most people dream of. They spent a lot of time together and had their Friday night “date nights”. They really had a once in a lifetime type of love. The only thing Brian and Hannah loved more than each other was their 3 children.

“Motherhood is not a hobby, it is a calling. It is not something to do if you can squeeze the time in. It is what God gave you time for”.

Hannah was a very dedicated mom to her 3 kids. Just looking on her Facebook page you could tell within 5 seconds that they were her entire world. She enjoyed being a stay at home mom, never missing  a single moment of their lives whether it was a morning of watching cartoons,  or Briannah’s first high school volleyball game or a simple ride in the car to grab an ice cream cone. Every mom dreams of raising their kids to be good human beings, and Hannah definitely set the foundation, and now Brian is finishing it. Her family meant everything to her. They were always together and always doing something adventurous and fun. Her favorite vacation was to Jamaica which was just her and her husband Brian. Her favorite thing to do as a family was to go boating on the river, which they enjoyed every year as a family. She also enjoyed music and going to concerts. She loved country music, but Brian shared with me that her absolute favorite was 80’s music. As I was typing this up today, an 80’s song came on and it made me think of Hannah and it seemed fitting…although I didn’t know her, I can imagine she liked this song and listened to it blaring while driving in her car a time or two. The song was Time After Time By Cyndi Lauper.. “If you’re lost you can look and you will find me, Time after time. If you fall I will catch you, I’ll be waiting, Time after time<3

Hannah is physically gone, but her smile reminds everyone she will live on forever in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.

~Remember Me~
Don’t remember me with sadness, don’t remember me with tears, remember all the laughter we’ve shared throughout the years. Now I am contented that my life it was worthwhile, knowing that I passed along the way I made someone smile. When you are walking down the street and you’ve got me on your mind, I’m walking in your footsteps only half a step behind. So please don’t be unhappy just because I’m out of sight, Remember that I’m with you each morning, noon and night.
